After School Program Application

IF YOU APPLIED DURING THE SPRING, THERE IS NO NEED TO REGISTER AGAIN. WE HAVE YOUR APPLICATION ON FILE.

ALL FAMILIES WHO APPLIED DURING THE SPRING WERE NOTIFIED OF ACCEPTANCE OR DENIAL ON AUGUST 9TH.

If you are interested in Rio’s after school program (EXPLORE) and did not apply for the 2024-2025 school year, please click yes in this form.

The EXPLORE after school program operates on all days that school is in session from the time of school dismissal until 6pm. The program provides afternoon snack, homework help, academic enrichment, physical fitness and social emotional learning opportunities. Transportation to Nyeland and Wagon Wheel neighborhoods is available.

Student groups with priority enrollment include: 1) English learners, 2) those eligible for free or reduced priced meals, 3) those experiencing homelessness (McKinney - Vento), and 4) foster youth.

Timeline:

Release application- August 12th in the morning via ParentSquare

Deadline- August 23rd

EXPLORE site coordinators at all 9 schools will notify families of acceptance by - August 30th
